This is the buck I killed last year with a Surewood Douglas Fir shaft. I stalked to around 15 yards of him. I had no shot as he was bedded behind a rock. He got up after maybe 15 minutes and gave me a 12 yard broadside shot. Who needs aluminum or carbon shafts when you can get quality Douglas Fir from Surewood?

Rick Hinton from Idaho.
"I used a Surewood Shaft and a 160-grain Snuffer, total weight was 625 grains. My bow was a 75-pound take-down Howard Hill Wesley Special. Quartering away heart shot."

Rich Thompson and a Gobbler taken April 29th, 2009 near Sutherland Oregon. Using a Jim Brackenbury 60lb @ 28" recurve and a 65-70lb 11/32" Surewood Shaft tipped with a Woodsman broad head.
"What makes this one special is taking it with a Surewood Shaft, which I fletched using feathers from previous birds from the same property. I can't wait for elk season!"

Rik Hinton September 2009:
"I shot this bull with an exciting three-and-a-half-yard shot resulting in a three-second, 50-yard recovery. At that close range, it is VITAL to have a high-quality arrow that straightens out immediately, and your Surewood Shafts do exactly that.
On this hunt, I was using a 66-inch, 75-pound take-down Howard Hill Wesley Special, a Surewood Shaft, and a 160-grain Snuffer."

G’day, Lately I’ve learned how to make my own wooden arrows out of Douglas fir shafts you guys supplied, and it has given me a real sense of satisfaction to take game with them. I’ve been able to take two pigs – a boar and a sow – with these arrows and my 75# Howard Hill Wesley Special longbow. Thanks for your wonderful product and excellent service. I really appreciate it. Cheers, Ben Kleinig (Katherine, Northern Territory, Australia).

After seven years of trying, I finally connected with my first deer ever. Taken with a 60#@28" Bear Montana longbow, a 160-grain Woodsman Elite broadhead, and a 640-grain Surewood Shaft. Thank you for making such a wonderful product; the best wood shafting out there... Chris DeWitt.

Nice 10 point white-tail taken by Bryan Burkhardt of Michigan. "The fir shafts performed flawlessly again...complete pass through and buck ran 50 yards before crashing. Have a Happy Thanksgiving 2009!" Bryan.

Steve Hohensee visiting Oregon from Moose Pass AK. took this nice black-tail buck in November 2009. Shooting a 50# longbow and Zephyr Sasquatch. Somehow the Sasquatch seemd like the "right" broad-head to use in your part of the World!

11.26.09  Thank you once again for supplying such wonderful arrow shafts; they’ve arrived safe and sound, and I’m happily making them up. Yesterday evening, I was blessed to be able to kill a nice little boar with an arrow I made from a batch of Douglas fir shafts you supplied. I used my 75# Howard Hill longbow. Thanks, and all the best, Ben Kleinig.

I used my longbow and a Surewood Shaft. The shot was 25 yards, my maximum range. These Douglas Fir shafts are straight and true. I am a serious hunter and demand the best in my equipment. I choose Surewood Shafts for my arrows.
